On October 9, 2018 a U.S. Bank in Westminster, Colorado, was robbed at gunpoint. On October 12, 2018, a Navy Federal Credit Union in Aurora, Colorado, was robbed at gunpoint. Based on the MO and physical description, it was determined both banks were robbed by the same robber. On October 17, 2018, the robber was identified as William Dean Myers, date of birth 08/05/1967. Myers is described as a white male, 5-10/195, with brown hair and green eyes (pictured below). Myers is a Federal probation client, having been convicted of multiple bank robberies in Nevada between 2005 and 2009, and was charged in three Denver area bank robberies which occurred in 2005. His criminal history in four states includes interference, burglary, theft, and MVT.
Although a Federal warrant for a probation (parole) violation has not been issued, he is considered an “escapee.” A Federal warrant for the two recent robberies is pending. It appears through investigation that Myers frequents the Aurora, Colorado area, and also the gaming town of Black Hawk, Colorado.
Myers is associated with two different vehicles, a late model silver or gray Nissan Rogue displaying Colorado license plate NGO534 (which appears to be a misuse as the plate belongs on a silver Chrysler mini-van) or a white late model Toyota Corolla sedan. LPR records captured the Nissan in Aurora on October 14, 2018 on EB Iliff at Abilene.
